Welcome to Hobbits Cottage

Hobbits is a cosy 18th century cottage in the heart of Marazion that provides comfortable and relaxing accommodation for 3 people. The cottage is moments from the sandy beach and the shops, pubs, eateries and galleries are all within a 5-minute walk.

The sociable open plan ground floor of the cottage has a lounge with open fire, dining area and a well-equipped kitchen. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one double and one single and a bathroom with bath, shower and WC. There is a walled patio garden at the rear with table and chairs, a real suntrap. We live next door so will be on hand to welcome you, fix any problems or suggest days out.

Marazion is an ancient market town and a cobbled tidal causeway links the amazing island castle of St. Michael’s Mount, now in the care of the National Trust, to the town.

Marazion beach is safe, sandy and gently shelving, perfect for swimming, snorkelling, sandcastles, rock pooling or just chilling out. For the more active there are paddleboard, kayak, wind and kitesurfing lessons and hire. There is also a great children’s play park just behind the beach.

The RSPB Marazion Marsh Nature Reserve is Cornwall's largest reedbed. With more than 250 bird, 500 plant, 500 insect and 18 mammal species having been recorded here.

The South West Coast Path passes through Marazion. One direction leads to Perranuthnoe – lovely beach and excellent eateries – just over 2 miles away. The other direction heads to Penzance, an easy walk of 2.5 miles giving great views across Mounts Bay to St Michael's Mount, the Lizard and Mousehole.
